PRABHAKAR C KALE
Prabhakar is a Graduate Electrical Engineer from College of Engineering, Pune and an Executive MBA from S P Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. He is a senior hydropower professional with more than 16 years’ experience at Tata Power, India. As head of the power station, he was responsible for the efficient running of the power plant and managing stakeholder needs (involving the planning, designing and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility projects). He is a certified Internal Auditor (ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001) and was Management Appointee for OHSAS18001 for Tata Power hydro divisions (2012 to 2015) being responsible for continued improvements in safety practices. Since Aug 2015, Prabhakar has been working in Zambia as CEO of Itezhi Tezhi Power Corporation, a Joint Venture between Tata Power and ZESCO to own and operate 120MW hydropower station in Itezhi Tezhi district where he has been instrumental in the formulation and implementation of Emergency Preparedness & Response Plan, Environment and Social Management Plan and guidelines for identification & implementation of CSR projects for the company.
