Cyrill Trottmann
Cyrill holds a Master Degree in Environmental Engineering from ETH Zurich with Majors in Urban Water Management and Hydraulic Engineering. He has been working for AFRY (former Poyry) since 2015, carrying out E&S studies such as environmental and social impact assessments for major hydropower projects in Asia and Africa, while being based in Laos, Switzerland and Thailand.
Cyrill gained sound experience in overseeing water quality, biomass clearing, resettlement, and livelihood restoration for projects under construction in Laos. He further played a key role by leading an ESHIA for a Mekong Scheme, where he was heavily involved in stakeholder engagements with UNESCO and the MRC, while preparing the World Heritage Impact Assessment, Critical Habitat Assessment, and Biodiversity Action Plan in line with IFC Standards.
Cyrill’s expertise spans environmental consulting, ESHIAs, cumulative impact and carbon footprint assessments, hydrological modeling, and biodiversity and critical habitat evaluations.
