Selusiwe serves as a corporate communications and stakeholder engagement specialist at the Zambezi River Authority. She is a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner (Chart. PR, MCIPR -UK) with over 10 years of combined experience in energy regulation and water resources management in Zambia and Zimbabwe, contributing strategic leadership at the intersection of sustainability, governance, and public engagement.

Selusiwe holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) degree in Media and Society Studies, a Master of Commerce in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance, and is a certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor—credentials that position her to navigate the complexities of regulatory frameworks and stakeholder dynamics in hydro- infrastructure projects.

At the Zambezi River Authority, Selusiwe played a pivotal role in the stakeholder engagement strategy for the Kariba Dam Rehabilitation Project (KDRP), ensuring inclusive consultation, effective risk communication, and sustained public confidence in one of Southern Africa’s most significant hydropower infrastructure rehabilitation efforts.

As a Provisionally Accredited Assessor under the Hydropower Sustainability Standard, Selusiwe continues to champion responsible hydropower development, integrating social, environmental, and governance considerations into hydro-power project planning and evaluation.
