Constance Liambai
Constance Nobula Liambai is a social development and safeguards specialist with over 19 years of professional experience spanning large-scale infrastructure, public health, land governance and international development, including six years specialising in social safeguards for major transboundary hydropower projects at the Zambezi River Authority.
Her expertise includes stakeholder engagement, grievance management, gender and social inclusion, livelihood restoration, and resettlement planning. She also has experience conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, preparing Environmental and Social Management Plans, and monitoring contractor compliance with contractual and project-specific requirements, national legislation, and international environmental, social and sustainability standards.
Her work focuses on strengthening social performance and social risk management to promote inclusive and sustainable outcomes in large-scale hydropower projects.
Constance holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies.
