Cynthia Nixon

Cynthia is a principal sustainability consultant with Entura (Hydro Tasmania) based in Australia.  She combines  over 20 years of technical expertise in environmental engineering, environmental law, social safeguards and gender equality with research in strategic communication, media and activism. Cynthia has worked on hydropower, solar, wind and battery storage projects in Australia, Philippines, Federated States of Micronesia, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Laos, Tonga and Malaysia and currently supports the Mekong River Commission’s sustainable hydropower program through the Australian Water Partnership.  She spent a significant period of her career in an operational sustainability management role for Hydro Tasmania and now regularly works in multi-disciplinary teams providing environmental and social advice for projects at all development stages.
