Lauren Cromarty

 

Lauren is a sustainability leader with experience across government, utilities, and regional communities. In her current role as Project Development and Sustainability Manager with Queensland Hydro, Lauren leads the integration of sustainability, environmental, social, and cultural heritage considerations across major infrastructure development projects. She provides expert advice on sustainability frameworks, approvals, and impact assessment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to manage risks, align with regulatory requirements, and embed sustainability into project delivery and organisational practice.

Lauren has experience across environmental management, policy, auditing, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong focus on regional contexts. She brings a values-driven and pragmatic approach to complex challenges, connecting environmental and social outcomes through strategic and evidence-based decision-making.  Lauren is highly adaptable and internationally experienced, having travelled extensively and undertaken work and study across multiple countries, demonstrating her ability to operate effectively in diverse global contexts.
