Tandin Tshering

Tandin Tshering is an Environmental and Social Safeguards Officer from Bhutan with over 16 years of professional experience in the hydropower and infrastructure projects. He currently serves as Senior Environment Officer at Druk Hydro Energy Limited, where he oversees environmental and social risk management, sustainability performance, regulatory compliance, and the integration of international good practices across hydropower projects in Bhutan.

Tandin holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Science from the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, the Netherlands. His professional expertise encompasses Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS), biodiversity conservation, climate and disaster risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and the application of environmental and social safeguard requirements in accordance with national regulations and multilateral development bank frameworks.
