Tshering Yangzom

Tshering Yangzom is a Civil Engineer and Head of Civil Unit at Druk Green Consultancy, Projects and Contract Department, Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC), Bhutan. With over 15 years of experience in hydropower project planning, feasibility studies, and implementation support, she has worked across the full project lifecycle — from pre-feasibility and hydrological studies through to procurement, construction monitoring, and project completion.

Tshering project experience spans ADB and World Bank-financed schemes, including the 118 MW Nikachhu Hydropower Project and DGPC's component of the World Bank-financed Project. She has contributed to the preparation of Detailed Project Reports for multiple hydropower schemes and brings strong capability in construction scheduling, risk management, procurement, and compliance with multilateral development bank frameworks.

Tshering holds a Master of Science in Water Resources Management from Flinders University, Australia, supported by an Australia Awards Scholarship. She has completed the ADB BuildProc Procurement Certification Programme (Modules 1–3), holds a CQI and IRCA EMS ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification, underscoring her commitment to rigorous, sustainability-aligned assessment in support of Bhutan's hydropower sector.
